SLAYER: 'War At The Warfield' DVD To Surface In Late July

May 23, 2003

In the continuing saga that is the release date for the upcoming SLAYER DVD, "War At The Warfield", a source close to the SLAYER camp has confirmed to BLABBERMOUTH.NET that the much-anticipated live disc will finally surface on July 29 — nearly six months after its originally announced street date. As previously reported, "War At The Warfield" was recorded at San Francisco's The Warfield on Dec. 7, 2001 during the band's "God Hates The World" tour and marks one of the last live appearances with the group of drummer Paul Bostaph, who announced his departure from the band shortly before Christmas 2001 due to a "chronic elbow injury." Bostaph has since joined San Francisco Bay Area metallers SYSTEMATIC, who issued their sophomore album, titled "Pleasure To Burn", last month through Elektra Records.

"War At The Warfield" will be available through UMVD (Universal Music & Video Distribution).
